Sweet Spot
Visitors may also purchase honey and honey soaps produced by the Buccaneer Bee Company, a Middle Division club that collaborates with the Upper Division’s Beekeeping Club. All profits are donated to a Berkeley scholarship fund.
Under the supervision of the Science Department Chair, Dr. Nicole Ackerson, the Beekeeping Club is part of the Center for Environmental Research and Experiential Sciences (known as CERES). The club gives students the opportunity to cultivate beehives and collect honey on land owned by the school.
